What you’ll build
Play detective: give each family member a pretend home and job, ask about their daily trips and tally every journey on a case board. Find the busiest route with mean, median and range, then crack the case by building a transit stop right where it's needed.
Finish line: Your case is cracked: every trip is tallied and a new transit stop serves the busiest route.
Bonus challenge: Draw every route on your Master Plan, with thicker lines for busier routes. Real planners call this a flow map.

- Bus, tram or rail for the busiest route
Stuck?
- A to B and B to A count as the same route, so tally them together.
- Median tricky with an even number of routes? It's halfway between the two middle values.
- Suspects stuck for ideas? Suggest trips like work, school, shops and visiting friends.
