What you’ll build
One eye of ender only points, but two thrown from far apart cross like an X on a map. Throw an eye, plot its line on a grid, then travel well to the side and throw again. Where the lines cross is your stronghold guess, so go and check.
Finish line: You found the stronghold from two throws and marked the spot with a tall tower.
Bonus challenge: Do a third throw from a new direction. Do all three lines meet in one point, or make a tiny triangle? How wide is it?
You’ll need
- Eyes of ender (with spares)
- Squared paper and a ruler
- A boat or horse
- Blocks for a marker tower

Stuck?
- Eye shattered? Some break when thrown, so always carry spares.
- Lines nearly parallel? Move farther sideways from line 1 before your second throw.
- Eye flying back behind you? You've passed over the stronghold, so it's right below.
