What you’ll build
Now you're the mystery writer. Stage a chest raid with a broken window, three suspects and alibis on signs, then hide four fair clues that prove who really did it. A family member plays detective, works through an elimination grid and names the culprit, before you reveal the truth.
Finish line: Your chest-raid mystery has alibis and fair clues, and your detective has given a verdict.
Bonus challenge: Add a red herring: a clue that points at the wrong suspect, but one other clue proves it can't be them.
You’ll need

- Signs
- Three suspects (a villager, a fox…)
- Clue items
- A family member to play detective
You choose
- The stolen treasure
- My 3 suspects (mobs or villagers)
- The guilty one (top secret!)
Stuck?
- Mobs wandering off your scene? Fence the suspects in, or use name signs to mark where each one belongs.
- Make a path trail by tapping grass with a shovel. It turns into path blocks.
- Every clue should clear one innocent suspect. If your detective is stuck, check that each clue really does.
