The explorer's last letter stops mid-sentence: "The mansion in the dark woods holds the answer…" Go find it.

What you’ll build
The clue points to a dark forest far away. Trade with a cartographer for a woodland explorer map, then set off on a long journey in stages, marking every stop on your route. Keep going until you spot the dark canopy and, at last, the roof of a huge woodland mansion.
Finish line: You've followed your map across the land and spotted the mansion from a safe distance.
Bonus challenge: Leave a numbered sign at every stop. Back home, could someone else follow your trail of signs all the way to the mansion?
