Fit a working secret entrance and all its wiring inside a 5×5×5 box.
One secret entrance. One hidden switch. Every wire inside a 5×5 box. Not one block may poke out.
- New skill Building a compact piston door
- Level 6 · Inventor's Lab
- Difficulty Intermediate
- Mode Creative
- Time 40–60 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Build a glass box and squeeze a working secret entrance inside it, wiring and all. Two stacked sticky pistons slide the disguise in and out, but fitting the wiring into the space is the real puzzle. Test it, check nothing pokes out and score your space.
Finish line: Your secret entrance works with every wire inside the box, and you know how much space it used.
Bonus challenge: Beat the 4×4×4 challenge: same entrance, smaller box. Or add a second hidden switch on the inside so you can't get trapped.
You’ll need
- Glass
- Sticky pistons
- Disguise blocks
- Redstone dust
- A lever or button
You choose
- Where my entrance secretly leads
- Disguise: wall, floor or bookshelf
- My hidden switch (button, lever or plate) hides
Stuck?
- A piston only moves with dust pointing into it or a powered block right beside it.
- One piston lazy? Trace its power back to the switch and fix the gap.
- Try a quick test door outside the box first, then squeeze it in.
