What you’ll build
Build a fire circle with log benches and a storyteller's stone, then write your own legend in a Book and Quill. Paint it across four picture panels, tell it at sunset and play pass it on to see how much your story changes.
Finish line: Your fire circle has four story panels, an original legend and a pass-it-on result to compare.
Bonus challenge: Retell the same legend from the point of view of the animal or villain. Ask your audience which version they liked best.
You’ll need
- A Book and Quill
- Logs
- A campfire
- Coloured blocks
- 3 or more family members

Stuck?
- Panels hard to read? Keep each picture simple: one big shape and one action per panel.
- Missed sunset? Keep building and practise your telling. Another one comes in about 20 minutes.
- Don't sign the book until your legend is finished. Signed books can't be edited.
