Build a turf-roofed longhouse with a long fire, benches and an animal end.
Winter hits the fjord. One long house, one long fire, the whole crew and the animals… all under one roof.

What you’ll build
Build a long Viking house with a turf roof of moss and grass on a snowy shore. Lay a long fire down the middle, line the walls with benches, add a loom and cooking corner, then move the animals in and spend a whole night by the fire.
Finish line: Your turf-roofed longhouse has a long fire, benches and animals in the byre, and you made it through the night.
Bonus challenge: Add a storehouse for winter food. If 8 crew eat 2 loaves a day for 90 days, how much bread is that? Fill the chests!

- Wood or turf blocks
- Stairs
- Moss and grass blocks
- Campfires
- A loom
- Cow and sheep spawn eggs
You choose
- My longhouse's name
- Walls: timber or turf (dirt and grass)
- Animals in the byre end
Stuck?
- Campfires burn if you stand on them in Survival. Walk round the long fire, not over it.
- Animals wandering into the hall? Fence off the byre end and add a gate.
- Can't sleep through the night? Monsters nearby stop you sleeping. Light the area well.
