Find a cartographer, trade them up and buy an explorer map.
The explorer's map was stolen. Rumour says a village mapmaker sells copies… if you can earn their trust.

What you’ll build
Track down a village mapmaker: the cartographer with the monocle. Sell them paper and other goods for emeralds, and keep trading until they level up and offer an explorer map. Buy it, find yourself on it, and frame it on your clue wall for an adventure still to come.
Finish line: You've bought an explorer map from a levelled-up cartographer and it hangs framed on your clue wall.
Bonus challenge: Craft your own map of HQ, copy it at the cartography table and hide the copy as a clue for a family member to find.

Stuck?
- No cartographer? Place a cartography table near a villager with no job. Villagers who have already traded won't change jobs.
- Explorer maps only appear once the cartographer levels up, so keep trading and give them time to restock.
- A compass is 4 iron ingots around 1 redstone dust. You'll need one plus emeralds to buy the map.
