Woolly mammoths roamed the frozen world for ages. Build one so big you can stand inside its head.

What you’ll build
Build a woolly mammoth at its real size, with shaggy fur and curving bone tusks. Then multiply everything by four and build a giant one beside it, with a secret lookout room hidden inside its head and windows for eyes.
Finish line: Your life-size mammoth stands beside a giant 4× mammoth with a secret lookout in its head.
Bonus challenge: Build a baby at half life-size and turn all three into a herd crossing a snowy plain. Which one took the most blocks?
You’ll need
- Brown and dark wool
- Bone blocks
- Squared paper
- A calculator

- What's hidden in the head room
Stuck?
- Giant looking wrong? Multiply every measurement by 4, including the tusks and trunk, not just the height.
- Build the legs and body outline first, then add the hump and head once the size feels right.
- Can't get into the head? Add a hidden staircase or ladder inside a leg.
