A giant stone by the fjord holds a message in runes YOU invented. Can anyone crack it before sunset?

What you’ll build
Design your own 16-rune alphabet, raise a tall standing stone by the fjord and carve a secret message on it. Hide a clue chest with a few runes decoded, then time your codebreaker as they race to crack it before sunset.
Finish line: Your runestone carries a secret message in your own alphabet, with a clue chest and a codebreak time.
Bonus challenge: Swap roles: your codebreaker carves a message and you try to beat their time. Who's the true rune master?

Stuck?
- Runes too similar? Give each one a clearly different shape, and test them on paper first.
- Letters sharing runes? Pair ones that sound alike, like C and K, so the message still makes sense.
- Running out of time before sunset? Keep the message short, under 20 letters.
