Behind a cave wall hides a ball of glittering purple crystal. Crack it open and claim the treasure.

What you’ll build
Search the caves for a geode's smooth grey shell, then break in layer by layer to the glittering purple crystal inside. Harvest only the fully grown clusters, craft a spyglass and tinted glass, and save the spot as your secret crystal farm.
Finish line: Your geode is harvested, you've crafted a spyglass and tinted glass, and the crystal farm is on your map.
Bonus challenge: Come back to your crystal farm in a few days. Count the new clusters. How many grew per day? Predict a week's harvest.
You’ll need
- A pickaxe
- Torches
- A glass block
- 2 copper ingots

- Secret or shared location
Stuck?
- Look for smooth basalt in cave walls. That's the outside of a geode.
- Only fully grown clusters drop shards. Small buds and budding amethyst blocks break into nothing.
- Leave the budding blocks in place so new crystals keep growing for next time.
