What you’ll build
Build a tall glass tube with soul sand at the bottom and fill it with water to make a bubble column that shoots riders up. Add a launch deck at the top over a wide splashdown pool, time the ride up and the drop down, then light the tower and give it a dare-you sign.
Finish line: Riders rocket up your drop tower and free-fall into a splashdown pool, with both trips timed.
Bonus challenge: Build a second tower twice as tall next to the first. Predict the new ride-up time, then test it. Was the time exactly double?

- Soul sand
- Water buckets

You choose
- My tower's name
- My height: 30, 50 or ___ blocks
- My splashdown pool's shape
Stuck?
- No bubbles? Every block in the tube must be a water source, so refill any flowing block from a bucket.
- Soul sand pushes you up; magma pulls you down. Check which block is at the bottom.
- Make the pool wide. Landing in water cancels fall damage, but only if you hit it.
