Link your builds with a timeline walk, guide a family tour, then jump.
Your time machine is charged and humming. One last job: guide your family through every wonder, then jump.
- New skill Building a scaled timeline walkway
- Level 7 · Time Travellers
- Difficulty Intermediate
- Mode Creative
- Time 60 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Build a timeline walk beside your Roman road, with a gold block where BCE turns into CE and signs for every big date. Then lead your family on a guided tour with a fact and a joke at every stop, and fire up the time machine for the next era.
Finish line: Your timeline walk marks every date, your family has had the grand tour and the machine has jumped.
Bonus challenge: Write a Greece & Rome travel guide in a Book and Quill: best sights, top tip, what to avoid. Leave it on a lectern at the start of the tour.
You’ll need
- Signs
- A gold block
- Fireworks
- A family member for the tour
You choose
- My tour's name
- My favourite build of this era
- My guess for the next era
Stuck?
- BCE to CE sums coming out one too big? There's no year 0, so subtract 1 when you cross it.
- Signs spaced wrong? At 1 block = 10 years, divide each gap in years by 10 to count blocks.
- Tour guests wandering off? Light the route and finish at the time machine.
For grown-ups
